It's the evening before flying to Bulgaria with my family. Some family members are already there, but me, my dad, brother, and his girfriend are flying tomorrow.
For me, traveling is exciting and it always has been this way. When I was younger, and we were going to camp with our small family in the south of France, we drove with our car through Holland, Belgium and the northern area of France to our destination. The memories to those times really make me happy and it was then that we drove at night. The moment my dad came around 4 o'clock in the morning to our bedroom, whispering to me, and my brother: 'Hey guys, are you going to wake up? We're going on a trip', is something I'll never forget.
I do live on my own now, so it's my alarm that wakes me up. Going on a holiday with my dad is still something I love and I'm very grateful that this is possible. Even when he's getting older, he doesn't want to skip a trip. So, tomorrow we're flying to Sofia and from there we're going with our rental car to Stara Zagora, where my cousin is going to get married on saturday. This will such be a really special day and I'm really looking forward to see him and his wife smile from ear to ear, while we all are wishing them lots of luck for the future and wonderful memories to be made.
While most of the guests travel back to Holland the day after, me and my dad decided to stay for the rest of the week, and scheduled other places to go to before we're flying back home.

Well, to be honest, my work space is not the most comfortable one... But it works, so let's do it with this.
To give you an image of how I'm working: I'm currently in the bathroom of the hotel room, sitting on the toilet with my laptop in front of me next to the bathtub. Yes, I work here because the wifi connection is not really working in the main room. But it works, so I'm fine with that.
Yesterday was a day full of traveling, and we finally got at our destination at 23:00 p.m, tired and done. Dad picked me up at my place, and we drove to the airport of Eindhoven within 2 hours, had a flight of almost 3 hours and then another 3-hour drive to our final location at Stara Zagora. To be true, I'm glad we made it up here, without me freaking out. In the past days, I was always anxious when I got to travel whole day, asking myself how I would be doing without food. I was still restricting my energy and believed that I would gain weight by sitting on my but all day. It was the thought of: 'I don't move, so I may not eat'. It's now that I see how toxic that mindset is, because even when you don't move, you have to give your body energy, just to let it work for you. So I did eat and I didn't worry about the long ride. It takes time, effort, struggles, a lot of learnings, and expierences to overcome that negative mindset, but it is possible and I proved myself that I can handle that.
This morning we woke up, had breakfast together, and I'm working on my business now, setting all things in order to work by automated systems, so I can join my family throughout the day. My cousin is going to marry, and I want to give him my full attention, love, and gratitude for being part of this magical experience. That's what I truly honour about this online business: I work an hour in the morning, I work a block in the evening, respond, do my learnings, and in the mean time, I can do what I want, because my business runs in the back.

Here we are, the morning after the wedding day of my cousin. Wow, I can't explain how magical this was, and what an impact it made on me emotionally. I'm so grateful that I had the opportunity to be here, having the whole family here, lots of friends, and colleaugues coming over from Holland to Bulgaria to celebrate this day.
We started at 12 a.m. with a bustrip to the brides parents' holiday residence, to watch and dive into the tradition of a Bulgarian wedding, where my cousin first had to proof himself that he was worth the bride. He had quite some tasks to do, like chopping wood, litting up a pot with some cutlery, wearing traditional clothes and putting money in a hidden shoe to show the bride that he is rich enough to keep her healthy and wealthy for the rest of her life.
It was funny, emotional, but amazing to see and the location was stunning!

After the traditional ceremony, we went to the National Museum, to the ground floor. Here we could see the eldest part of the city, before we went to the garden, where the couple finally would say 'yes' to each other. The speeches they had were emotional, beautiful, and together with the mix of cultures, people and the environment, it was a magical appearance.
I honoured seeing my family there, being happy, grateful and I felt it through my heart and bones.
The day wasn't over yet, so we got back to the hotel, made a lot of pictures and got ready for the dinner party, dances and a lot of other traditions. It was a wonderful day filled with love, joy, happines, fun, gratitude and it all ended with a fire show!
It's because of my online business and the automated systems that run in the background that I can fully pay attention to my family and the people I love. The proof that those systems work, is my full inbox when I come back at the hotel. This experience really builds trust and makes me strive even more for a life as a digital nomad, freedom based, healthy, wealthy and supportive. And I'm the one who shows others how to do this too.
Family is worth clinging to where everyone can find it
