Authentically risk taking

Over the weekend of the 21st and the 22nd of September, I attended the business event of our Unfold Your Freedom community. We learned from several speakers a lot about ourselves, entrepreneurship, how we create solutions, and helping others to build a healthy, wealthy, and sustainable lifestyle. The lessons I took home with me were countless, so I'll break them down in the upcoming blogs and share my golden nuggets from those days with you.

The moment that resonated with me the most

When I look back at the first day, the main focus was on authenticity, building a business that's aligned with your values and in which you don't have to be anyone but yourself. For me, this has always been a huge topic, because I wanted to be everybody's best friend, trying to disappear in the mass so nobody would give me a negative comment or would say something rude about the way I looked. Instead, I focused on conversations on practical things, subjects to talk about that were not in alignment with who I was, because I wanted to stay away from my true values as far as I could, to not get hurt by anybody else.

Today I learned that with Network Marketing, the main focus does not have to be on the product, because people don't want to buy it unless they need it. You have to focus on the person you are, sharing your life, your story, and in that just being open about what the product did for you, how it changed your life, and made you another person. It's easier to share as many tips to become a Network Marketer and give that practical information, but most people aren't interested in those posts at all, unless they are specifically looking for it. In Canva, it looks nice, but the content doesn't really speak to someone specific, and to really honour what you do and target the right people, you need to attract them. And you attract them by being your authentic self, sharing your story, opening up about what you do, and sharing the path you take from A to B.

It's unnecessary to only show where you were before and after, because people will resonate just with the story, the road you're walking on, because this can exactly build confidence in others to also take action and achieve their dreams. So show the start, the road, and where it leads you, because that's what people want to follow you and maybe even join you and your team later on.

But how do you get to the point where you feel you resonate with others, hear their story, show up as a leader to guide and help others find solutions, and live their dream life? That's where Nate, on the second day, hit me again with his statement of the choice between the employee mindset and the entrepreneur mindset. I heard him speaking on stage, having this presentation for the first time in Latvia, but where he hit me there, he hit me here again: my money mindset.

Yes, I invested in this business with the highest and best foundation to start. However, that wasn't easy at all, because I've always been told to save my money for 'later' or 'necessary occasions', which kept me stuck in my belief around money. I always look for discounts, the cheapest product and price over quality, and I really had to learn that I have to look at my money in another way, through another glass. Reading about money mindset, listening to calls from within the community about that topic helped me a lot, but it's something that pops up from time to time or I realise afterwards that my actions were based on a 'safe' decision instead of a bold step and investing in myself, my life, and my future.

What I'm going to do now is dive fully into what I do want to believe about money and to trust that it will come back to me in abundance when I invest it into myself, my business, and my growth. If I feel like my ads are working, I'm going to scale them. When I want to invest in myself to get a better camera, a coach in network marketing, or a personal trainer in a certain area, I'm not going to procrastinate anymore. It's now or it's not, and I know that I'll be ashamed of myself in the end even more when I haven't tried than when I tried and the outcome is not what I've expected.

The rich invest their money and spend what is left

The poor spend their money and invest what is left
